Join us as we “bring life” to some “Spooky Science” in celebration of the 200th anniversary of Mary Shelley’s novel Frankenstein. Our “Mad Scientist” staff will present exciting maker activities related to robotics, genetic engineering, and electricity. During the special pre-Halloween celebration, we will be showing two special presentations of the original 1931 version of Frankenstein: The Man Who Made A Monster!

Frankenstein: The Man Who Made A Monster
Follow a young scientist named Henry Frankenstein in a European village as he tried to bring his monster to life! This version of the film was released in 1931 and stars Colin Clive, Mae Clarke, and Boris Karloff.
*The movie may have scenes that are scary to a young audience
Showtimes: 6:00 and 7:30 pm
Seating will be on a first come, first served basis, so come early and get your tickets!
Telescope Viewing
The Draconids meteor shower will peak on October 8th so you may see a few falling stars a little early! Find the head of the Draco Constellation in the sky to see most of the meteors.
Viewing weather permitted.
Activity/Craft
Join our Mad Scientists as they provide hands-on activities related to robotics, genetic engineering, and electricity! Try on a few lab coats and you can be a mad scientist too!
Bring the entire family out to the Danville Science Center to discover the mysteries of the universe during our monthly adventures! This incredible event is brought to you in partnership with the Institute for Advanced Learning and Research. Members and students with college ID enjoy free admission to Science After Dark; general admission is $5.
