Principals Corner – La Crosse Elementary

Welcome La Crosse Eagles Students and Families,

La Crosse Elementary was founded in 1962 and Sherman L. Graham was principal from 1962 to 1997.  He served La Crosse for 35 years.  Many leaders have followed since he served as leader of this school.  I am very proud that I have been given the opportunity to serve the students, parents/guardians, community members and all the school employees over the past 7 years.  As I embark on my 35th year in education, I am just as excited to work with the students and staff to ensure that your child has a successful year as I was in 1989.

The staff and I take great pride in being able to nurture and instruct each and every student that comes through our doors.  La Crosse currently serves approximately 365 students in Pre-Kindergarten through Fifth grade.  We offer multiple resources to support the learning needs of all our students.  While academics is a key focus, we provide art, music, physical education, library and lessons on our VTSS program and schoolwide expectations.  Our Guidance and Behavior Intervention Teacher helps to support students social and emotional needs.

Please join the PTO and join us for meetings, grade level programs and family engagement activities throughout the school year.  We look forward to a wonderful school year.

Respectfully,

Connie Puckett, Principal
