Lacrosse Elementary had the pleasure of inviting Mr. Daryl K. Cobb, a renowned Children’s author, to spend the day with the students on Friday. Mr. Cobb met with third through fifth graders to teach them all about how to write stories pulling from their own personal experiences. Pre-K through second grade were entertained with personal stories and songs about Mr. Cobb’s children and how his experiences as a dad  led to many of his children’s books. Several students were chosen to have lunch with the author where he had personal conversations and answered many questions the students had  about his life as an author. To end this wonderful day Lacrosse Elementary hosted a Family Literacy Night where dinner was served and Mr. Cobb presented a special program for the families. The students that attended were invited  share what they learned through song and story.Families were invited to purchase his books and Mr. Cobb held a book signing after the program.
