Laura Medina is an amazing Kindergarten teacher. She provides a solid foundation for our youngest students in literacy and numeracy. Besides teaching academics, she also teaches life skills. She makes students think critically and problem solve for themselves. Mrs. Medina is a natural born leader. Her colleagues respect her and go to her for advice. She readily mentors student teachers and first year teachers. Her lessons thoroughly engage her students because of the creativity she puts into them. Even during this very difficult school year she has been able to build relationships with her students and their parents. This year she has been at the forefront in leading her students as well as other teachers in the switch to remote learning. She also played a vital role in our school’s masked reader competition this year. She faces any challenge head-on and looks for solutions that will benefit all children.
