The CDC updated its Covid-19 guidance effective March 1, 2024. Covid-19 should now be treated like other respiratory viruses (i.e., flu, RSV).
Here’s what you need to know:
- If someone is sick, they should stay home regardless of diagnosis. They must be fever-free for 24 hours without using fever-reducing medication before they can return.
- Masks are optional for staff, students, visitors, and sporting events.
- We do not require tests to return.
- It is still best practice to encourage hand washing and respiratory etiquette and to maintain clean classrooms.
