Twenty seven 8th grade Spanish Club students had the opportunity to travel to NY on December 6th with Mrs. Lopez. The trip was absolutely amazing and students and chaperones enjoyed it! From seeing the sunrise over the NY skyline to riding the subway, there were many firsts for students and chaperones alike. Students were able to spend time in Rockefeller Center, Times Square, 9/11 Memorial, Bryant Park and Winter Village. Students were able to see the studio where Jimmy Fallon broadcasts live from the Tonight Show, as well as Radio City Music Hall. Some students ate lunch at The Hard Rock Cafe while others ate at the famous Bubba Gump Shrimp Company. So proud of all of my students and the way they looked out for each other!
This really was the trip of a lifetime!
Thank you to the MCPS School Board members for their support and approval of this trip. I hope that some parts of it will be etched in the minds of my students forever!
