La Crosse Elementary School

Yesterday, our first grade students went on a field trip to the Environmental Education Center at the John H. Kerr Dam. Ranger Jones, Ranger Cross, and Ranger Jarman taught us about water safety and wildlife in our area. We explored animals and fossils in the nature center, walked through the butterfly garden, and played interactive games to learn more about animal tracks and life cycles. We also enjoyed a picnic lunch and playtime by the dam. We had an awesome time!

Students at La Crosse Elementary showed the support for Children’s Mental Health Awareness Day by wearing green and coloring uplifting pictures on our sidewalks.

Students in Miss Rogers and Mrs. Bowers ECSE class had fun this week making Easter crafts for their Easter bulletin display. Students also enjoyed working at “The Easter Basket Factory” writing down basket orders, filling Easter eggs, and decorating baskets.
