Internet Cafe’ Update

PVHS is offering an Internet Cafe in our gym to support virtual learning students and their families. This service is open to all MCPS students, but you do need to call the school at (434)447-3435 to reserve a two-hour time slot. All students are required to wear a mask to enter. Once inside, tables are spaced to allow for proper social distancing.  Evening hours are offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1:30-7:30 p.m.

The Technology Department will begin offering Tech Help on Oct. 29 and Nov. 5 during the evening Internet Cafe hours. During this time we will have one ITRT and one Technician on-site to assist families with technology issues from 5:30-7:30. Again, you must call to reserve your time.

LiveTime
Teachers are available each day during class for instruction, discussion, and clarification. Office hours are posted on the Canvas page and teachers can be reached during their planning blocks for questions.
After Hours Office Hours
High school students may participate in real-time tutoring via Google Meet. Teachers have posted schedules in Canvas and Remind. These sessions began on October 12. Teachers at each high school will provide students with the login codes for each session. This tutoring is free of charge to MCPS students and we encourage students to actively participate. Please call the school if you have any questions about these additional supports for your student. We want every student to be successful.
