Each year the Virginia Department of Education offers opportunities to students across the state for exceptional opportunities. Summer Residential Governor’s Schools are provided for gifted high school juniors and seniors with intensive educational experiences that focus on 11 special areas of interest. These areas are: Agriculture, Humanities, Math/Science/Technology, Engineering, Marine Science. Dance, Instrumental Music, Vocal Music, Theatre and Visual Arts. There will be an interest meeting at Bluestone High School on Wednesday, October 16th and at Park View High School on Thursday, October 17th.
