On Friday, November 15th the 8th grade Civics students had the opportunity to participate in a simulation called, Real World, Real Money. The students were assigned randomly a career and given their monthly income including the amount of taxes withdrawn. The students then visited 10 different stations where they were faced with real life problems like taking caring of housing, figuring out what car they could afford and the entire time their goal was to budget enough that they would have some money leftover at the end. We thank the 4-H connection as well as all of our volunteers who made this possible for our students today!
